Heron House offers three comfortable bedrooms with flexible sleeping arrangements, including two double bedrooms (one with en-suite facilities on the top floor) and one zip-and-link bedroom, which can be configured as either a king-size bed or twin singles. This versatility makes the property ideal for friends, couples, or multi-generational families. A family-sized bathroom, an additional shower room, and a ground-floor WC ensure comfort and convenience for all guests.

On the ground floor there is also a separate room with a desk, making it ideal for guests who wish to work remotely — allowing you to enjoy the island after a days work in the evenings. This room is fitted with blinds and, for those needing extra sleeping space, can alternatively accommodate a guest’s own airbed and bedding, effectively offering the option to use the property as a four-bedroom house.

For boating enthusiasts, there is the added bonus of a private berth for vessels up to 10 metres (available at an additional cost), located directly outside the property — allowing you to sail straight to your holiday home. If you’re planning a visit to Cowes, the water taxi provides a relaxed and scenic way to travel, with easy drop-off and collection, removing the need to drive or worry about parking.

Newport Town

Newport is the principal town of the Isle of Wight, centrally located and often referred to as the island’s capital. The historic town centres around two elegant squares, framed by Georgian and Victorian architecture, with the quay on the River Medina just a short walk away.

Newport is a lively hub for shopping, mixing well-known high street brands with independent shops across the High Street, main squares, and surrounding streets. A popular weekly market takes place on Tuesdays, alongside a highly regarded farmers’ market on Fridays, selling a wide range of local produce.

The town is rich in culture and history, with attractions such as the Museum of Island History, Quay Arts Centre, Newport Roman Villa, and Newport Minster, all within easy walking distance. Newport Minster also forms part of Queen Victoria’s Island Trail.

Entertainment is plentiful, with a multi-screen cinema, the Medina and Apollo theatres, live music venues, and a variety of evening bars and late-night spots. Newport is also home to major island events, including the world-famous Isle of Wight Festival, held every June at Seaclose Park beside the River Medina.
